Zambia — The Copperbelt
Zambia’s Copperbelt Province is one of the world’s premier copper and cobalt producing regions, hosting some of the largest sediment-hosted copper-cobalt deposits on the planet. Our Zambian network spans permitted large-scale operations and formalised artisanal mining cooperatives supplying copper, cobalt, nickel, zinc and other Copperbelt minerals. Zambia offers a comparatively stable regulatory environment, established export infrastructure and improving logistics connectivity.
DRC — Katanga & Kivu Provinces
The Democratic Republic of Congo is the world’s most mineral-endowed nation, with an estimated USD 24 trillion in untapped mineral wealth. The DRC is the source of over 70% of global cobalt and holds 60–80% of the world’s coltan reserves. Our DRC sourcing covers copper and cobalt from the southern Katanga region (far from eastern conflict zones) and coltan and cassiterite from verified, ITSCI-programme-covered sites. All DRC-origin material carries full official mineral certificates.

Berium Minerals operates export logistics through three strategic African ports, chosen for their complementary routing advantages to different global destination markets:
Port of Durban, South Africa
Africa’s busiest container port and primary gateway for bulk mineral exports to Europe, North America and East Asia. Durban offers the most established bulk handling infrastructure and the widest range of regular shipping services. Preferred routing for European and Northeast Asian buyers.
Port of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
A critical gateway for Indian Ocean routing to the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Africa. Dar es Salaam provides competitive transit times for buyers in these regions and has seen significant infrastructure investment in recent years. Preferred routing for Gulf, Indian and Southeast Asian buyers.
Port of Beira, Mozambique
Beira serves as an efficient export corridor for Southern African mineral flows, with growing bulk handling capacity and competitive transit alternatives for Australian and Southern African buyers. It also provides routing redundancy when Durban or Dar es Salaam face congestion.
Documentation & Trade Terms
Every Berium Minerals shipment is accompanied by a comprehensive documentation package designed to meet the requirements of international buyers, customs authorities and downstream compliance reporting:
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Bill of lading from loading port
- Certificate of analysis (CoA) from accredited independent laboratory
- Weight and moisture certificate
- Certificate of origin (country-specific)
- Pre-shipment inspection report (SGS or equivalent, on request)
- ITSCI chain-of-custody records for 3TG minerals (coltan, cassiterite)
- OECD Annex II due diligence documentation (on request)
- Mineral export permits from Zambia MMMD or DRC Ministère des Mines
- Radiation monitoring data for applicable mineral types
We trade under FOB, CFR and CIF Incoterms. We can discuss DAP arrangements for buyers with specific inland delivery requirements. All transactions are screened against OFAC, UN Security Council and EU sanctions lists.
