International Compliance Frameworks

OECD Due Diligence Guidance

We apply the full OECD 5-Step Framework for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas across all sourcing activities in Zambia and the DRC. Our due diligence assessments, supplier risk evaluations and corrective action plans are maintained and available to buyers upon request.

EU Conflict Minerals Regulation (2021/821)

Our 3TG mineral (tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold) supply documentation is specifically structured to meet EU CMR requirements for importers. We provide Annex II due diligence documentation compatible with EU reporting frameworks.

US Dodd-Frank Act Section 1502

We supply Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) compatible documentation to buyers subject to SEC disclosure requirements. Our chain-of-custody records are maintained in a format accessible for Dodd-Frank compliance reporting.

ITSCI Traceability Programme

All coltan (tantalum) and cassiterite (tin) sourced from DRC and participating regional sites is covered by the ITSCI chain-of-custody tagging programme, providing documented traceability from mine site to export point.

Zambia PACRA & MMMD Licensed

Berium Minerals is registered with the Zambia Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) and licensed under the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development (MMMD) for mineral export activities.

Environmental Compliance

We require all sourcing sites to hold valid environmental permits from national regulators: ZEMA (Zambia) and equivalent DRC authorities. Environmental Impact Assessments are reviewed for all key sourcing areas.

No Child Labour — Zero Tolerance
Child labour in mineral mining is one of the most serious human rights issues in the global supply chain. Berium Minerals applies a zero-tolerance policy. All sourcing sites are subject to mandatory third-party child labour verification as a condition of our supply agreements. Any site with unresolved child labour findings is immediately suspended from our supply network pending investigation and remediation. We work with UNICEF-affiliated NGOs on community education and remediation programmes in our sourcing districts.
Supply Chain Auditing
Our supply chain audit programme covers all significant sourcing relationships across Zambia and the DRC. Audits are conducted by independent third-party auditors and cover: mineral origin verification; chain-of-custody integrity; labour standards and human rights; environmental compliance; and community impact. Audit summaries are available to buyers under NDA. We provide buyers with the right to conduct their own due diligence visits to our sourcing operations by prior arrangement.
ESG Reporting Support for Buyers
We recognise that our buyers face their own ESG reporting obligations to customers, investors and regulators. Berium Minerals provides structured compliance documentation packages designed to support Scope 3 reporting, conflict minerals disclosure, supply chain due diligence reports and responsible sourcing certifications.
